Kamila Valieva has had her neutral-athlete status revoked, according to a person familiar with the matter, months after the International Skating Union granted it under a new presumed-eligible rule.
The withdrawal reportedly stems from concerns she may have supported Russia's war in Ukraine, one of the disqualifying criteria. Teammate Mark Kondratiuk lost his status on similar grounds, and both have appeals due by midweek, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport as the next stop if the ISU doesn't budge.
The case revives the unresolved mess of Valieva's 2022 doping disqualification, which handed the U.S. team gold and ended her ban only last December.
The full dispatch is available from the source below.

A rule that presumes everybody eligible unless proven otherwise was always going to spend its first season proving otherwise. The ISU built itself a fast lane and then had to slam the brakes before the first car even parked. Nobody should be shocked that 'trust first, check later' needed a check.
