The White House issued a release timed to Vice President JD Vance's Michigan visit, claiming the Trump administration has 'onshored production, restored factory jobs, and put vehicles back on Michigan assembly lines,' while also crediting itself with a 'sharp decline in crime across the state.'

The statement further asserts Michigan is 'winning' in advanced manufacturing, energy, aerospace, food production and 'the infrastructure of the AI economy,' attributing tens of billions in new capital and thousands of jobs to the administration's 'America First agenda.' No independent data, company names, or figures accompany any of these claims.

The release also cites the administration's 'Working Families Tax Cuts' as putting money back in Michiganders' pockets, again without specifying amounts or sourcing.
