The White House issued a presidential message for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, pledging to advance research and 'accelerate cures' for children with cancer.

The message credits the Make America Healthy Again Commission with addressing 'root causes' of childhood chronic illness and touts the use of artificial intelligence to speed pediatric cancer research.

The statement acknowledges cancer remains the leading cause of death among American children even as it celebrates unspecified 'remarkable breakthroughs.'

The full dispatch is available from the source below.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
A proclamation costs nothing, commits no one, and expires at midnight, which is precisely why it can promise to accelerate cures without naming a single one. The word 'root causes' is doing an enormous amount of unpaid labor here, as is the machine that will apparently do the science while the humans do the press release. Families facing this do not need a commission with a slogan; they need funded laboratories, and a message is not a budget.
