The U.S. threatened to cut intelligence sharing with Ukraine and halt the PURL mechanism, through which European countries buy American weapons for Kyiv, unless Ukraine stopped striking Russian oil refineries, sources told the Financial Times. The calls making these demands went out on October 10 and 11, with one official telling the FT a Pentagon representative was 'calling Kyiv... calling everyone' in Europe.
Trump announced an energy ceasefire on October 11; Zelensky said it was news to him, then later said Ukraine's military had 'received all relevant orders' without elaborating. The Kremlin has not officially commented.

Leaning on an ally's weapons supply to get them to stand down from hitting the enemy's fuel depots is an odd definition of backing their fight. If the reporting holds up, the pressure campaign here isn't aimed at Moscow at all. It's aimed at Kyiv, which is a strange place to point the stick when the war's other side still won't say the word yes.
