Ukraine's Presidential Office denied a Bloomberg report that Trump urged Zelenskyy to travel to Moscow for talks with Putin during their Sept. 22 meeting in New York, calling it false information. Bloomberg cited people familiar with the discussion; the White House did not respond to its request for comment.
Ukrainian officials say the two presidents discussed possible trilateral talks but that Trump never proposed Moscow as a venue. That squares awkwardly with Trump's own account from July, when he said he'd already told Putin a Moscow meeting 'doesn't work' and relayed as much to Zelenskyy directly.
Zelenskyy has consistently pushed for a neutral third country, floating Switzerland, Türkiye or an Arab state, rather than either capital.

When the denial and the original story both sound plausible, the honest move is to notice nobody official is in a hurry to clear it up. The White House staying silent on a Moscow rumor isn't proof of anything, but it isn't reassuring either. A man who already said out loud that Moscow 'doesn't work' shouldn't be this hard to get a straight answer out of.
