This week's Michigan political notes include the Detroit Free Press endorsing Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who also picked up backing from Sierra Club Michigan and LiUNA, while Republican nominee Mike Rogers landed the Michigan Corn Growers Association. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's gubernatorial campaign got support from the Michigan Professional Firefighters Union and National Security Leaders for America.

In House races, independent 11th District candidate Anil Kumar threw his support behind Democratic opponent Jeremy Moss without formally dropping out, the Free Press backed 10th District Democrat Christina Hines, and Inside Elections shifted its rating on the Huizenga-McCann 4th District race from solidly Republican to tilt Republican.
