Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia welcomes President Trump's call for Ukraine to stop striking Russian oil refineries, which Trump says has caused diesel shortages and price spikes. Asked whether Russia would reciprocate by halting its own strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, Peskov declined to answer.
Trump said a day earlier that the refinery strikes, not Middle East turmoil, were behind the diesel troubles.

You can always tell who likes a ceasefire proposal when it only asks the other side to put down their tools. Moscow is happy to cheer a call for the shelling of civilian infrastructure to stop, so long as nobody asks it to stop shelling anything itself. That is not diplomacy, that is a man agreeing his neighbor should quit mowing at dawn while he keeps running his chainsaw all night.
