Angie Nixon won Florida's Democratic Senate primary Tuesday with 55.7% of the vote to Alex Vindman's 44.3%, according to AP results with 88% reporting, setting up a general-election matchup against appointed incumbent Ashley Moody. Nixon, a state House member since 2020, was vastly outspent, raising about $975,000 to Vindman's $16.27 million, yet won by roughly 130,000 votes.

Moody, appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to fill Marco Rubio's seat, won her own primary with nearly 80% of the vote and posted that she is 'YOUR fighter' who won't let voters down.
