The accounts, many using variations of the term 'Haraga,' post 'mirage' content showing successful crossings and onward journeys to mainland Europe, despite most of the roughly 78,000 recent arrivals being returned to Morocco.
This follows an incident last month in which about 78,000 migrants arrived by sea in a matter of hours, with 100 reported dead by Ceuta's mayor; Meta says it has removed some accounts and is monitoring the situation, while new posts advertise another crossing attempt this weekend.
