Russian drones hammer Zaporizhzhya hospital, setting treatment rooms ablaze — photoreport

Russian drones struck Zaporizhzhya early Thursday, damaging a municipal hospital and several residential high-rises, according to acting regional governor Mykhailo Semikin. A fire broke out in one of the medical facility's departments, prompting emergency crews to evacuate seven hospitalized patients, including people with limited mobility.

State Emergency Service teams extinguished the blaze quickly. Beyond the hospital, the strikes damaged apartment buildings, private garages and parked cars across nearby neighborhoods, injuring at least two civilians, one of whom is undergoing emergency surgery.

The attack follows a mass drone bombardment four days earlier that hit a residential building, a shopping mall and a historic university campus in the same city, wounding five people.
