Drones attack Ufa overnight, Bashneft oil refinery may have been targeted

Drones struck the Bashkortostan city of Ufa overnight, with monitoring channels reporting a drone alert and temporary restrictions at Ufa airport, according to Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova. Smoke was seen over an industrial area in northern Ufa that houses several Bashneft oil refineries.

Those refineries have been hit repeatedly in recent months, including attacks on Aug. 1, Aug. 2 and Aug. 27, as well as earlier strikes in June and July. The attack came the night after drones sparked a major fire at the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya, which Moscow's mayor said caused no casualties.
