Wild Hornets, a Ukrainian drone manufacturer, told NV it is testing a new interceptor called the Sting S against Russia's jet-powered Geran attack drones, which the company says have surged from 350 to 3,500 launches a month between June and September. The company says the Sting S has destroyed about 10 Geran-4 drones and several Geran-5s in combat testing so far, and that mass production could start within a month of finishing tests.
The claims come from an unnamed Wild Hornets representative, withheld for security reasons, who also credited the company with 'some of the world's leading expertise' in scaling up interceptor production. The same representative says it took roughly a year to go from early interceptors to shooting down the 'overwhelming majority' of conventional Shahed drones, and expressed hope for a similar trajectory against the jet-powered models.

A company telling a reporter it has some of the world's leading expertise in exactly the product it's trying to sell is not shocking, it's just worth noticing out loud. Ten drones downed in testing might be a real breakthrough or might be the best ten results out of a much longer list, and there's no way to tell from a press-friendly interview alone. Wait for the battlefield numbers before anyone starts measuring for a parade.
