A drone crossed into Moldova's airspace on Aug. 30 near Dnestrovsc in the breakaway Transnistria region, entering from the direction of Lymanske in Ukraine's Odesa Oblast at 3:50 p.m. local time, according to Moldova's Defense Ministry. Nine minutes later it left the way it came, retracing its route back toward Ukraine.
The ministry attributed the incursion to Russia's aerial attacks on Ukraine that day. This marks at least the third such violation reported in a week, following incidents on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, the latter involving five drones detected at once.
