Ukraine has stored 14.6 billion cubic meters of gas, reaching its 2026/2027 heating season target a month ahead of schedule, First Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
Naftogaz has contracted over 2.09 billion cubic meters this year, including 2 billion imported between January and July, and coal reserves are also reportedly above target.
Shmyhal said electricity generation capacity should reach 21.4 GW by year's end absent major Russian strike damage, against a January peak load of 18 GW.
