Russian attack injures four, including 8-year-old girl

A Russian drone attack on Hostomel in Kyiv Oblast on the evening of Oct. 2 injured four people, including an 8-year-old girl who suffered a shrapnel wound to her leg, regional governor Tymur Tkachenko reported. A 66-year-old man was hospitalized with burns and blunt abdominal trauma.

Two others sustained minor injuries treated at the scene. The strike also sparked fires at warehouse and production facilities in Hostomel and two warehouses in nearby Bucha Raion, which firefighters extinguished. No deaths were reported in this attack, though the report notes a 14-year-old was buried elsewhere in the region the same day following an earlier strike.
