Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a viral video from a gas station comparing diesel prices of $8.49 in California to $6.59 in Georgia, calling both ridiculous and pinning the blame on President Trump and the war in Iran. The clip drew nearly 3 million views on X as Greene, once a staunch Trump ally, continued her public break with him.
At a rally the same week, Trump told supporters that high gas prices were, in his words, a very inexpensive price to pay for what has been done regarding Iran. Greene resigned from Congress last fall after clashing with Trump over the Epstein files and a government shutdown, and now calls herself politically homeless.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
Watching a former Trump superfan do a gas-station monologue about diesel prices is the kind of thing you can't script, and nobody had to. When the man in charge tells drivers that eight dollars a gallon is a bargain, you know the spin room ran out of better lines. It's a strange kind of honesty when the falling-out plays out live at the pump instead of behind closed doors.
