Russia hits Kyiv with missiles during Zelenskyy's meeting with U.S. lawmakers

Russian forces struck Kyiv with a ballistic missile attack overnight, hitting residential buildings, a maternity hospital, and energy infrastructure, killing two people and wounding five, President Zelenskyy said. The strike came, he noted, at the exact hour his delegation was meeting six members of the U.S. House to discuss the Lindsey Graham sanctions bill.

Odesa was also struck the same night, damaging a medical facility, a school, and homes, while rescue crews in Kyiv searched for people still trapped under rubble. Zelenskyy called for ballistic missile interceptors and stricter enforcement of sanctions against Russia and those aiding it.
