Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham said no decision is off the table after a 20-14 loss at Minnesota in which starting quarterback Bryce Underwood threw two interceptions and finished with a season-low 101 passing yards on 47.6 percent completion. Whittingham called the results 'unacceptable' and said both personnel and his own coaching staff are under evaluation.

Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 class, had thrown for 276 yards the previous week against Iowa. Michigan has scored under 20 points in four of five games this season, the lone exception coming against a UTEP defense ranked near the bottom of FBS.

True freshman Tommy Carr, a 4-star recruit, is next in line should Whittingham make a change. Michigan has a bye before hosting Penn State and Indiana on consecutive weekends, giving the staff two weeks to settle on a starter.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
A coach who signed for $41 million calling his team's results 'unacceptable' after a loss to Minnesota is the kind of plain talk you don't often get from men paid that well. Everything being 'in play' usually means nothing's decided yet, same as a farmer saying the weather could go either way. Give it the two weeks he asked for and see who's standing under center against Penn State.
