Russian forces attacked Kyiv with jet-powered Shahed drones during daytime hours on Sept. 22, prompting air defense activity and drone debris falling on a parking lot in the city's Darnytskyi district; no fire was reported. Commuter train service was suspended in both directions due to the elevated air threat, with officials urging residents to stay at least 200 meters from railway infrastructure or in shelters.

The daytime strike followed an overnight assault using dozens of missiles and 212 drones across Ukraine, which hit a multi-story residential building in Kyiv and injured four people.
