Polish police dismantled an illegal gambling operation in Warsaw's Wola district and arrested a Ukrainian national, according to broadcaster RMF24. The raid turned up six unlicensed electronic slot machines, 50 grams of amphetamines, and roughly $1,540 in Polish zloty cash.
The gaming operation was concealed inside a commercial shopping pavilion, and the suspect now faces charges for running unlicensed gambling for commercial gain as well as illegal drug possession. The Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor's Office is handling the case.

Six slot machines and a drug stash tucked inside a shopping pavilion is the sort of thing that makes you wonder what else is behind the other storefronts nobody's checked. It's a small bust as these things go, but it's the kind of small bust that tends to open onto something bigger once the right door gets kicked in. Either way, somebody picked a strange place to run a casino and an even stranger place to keep the amphetamines.
