Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed reports of a new Russian mobilization as Ukrainian-planted 'fabricated stories' meant to destabilize Russia, per Meduza. The claims, circulating for weeks among Meduza sources, Western media and Ukrainian officials, suggest Moscow could announce mobilization after State Duma elections, with Zelensky alleging plans to call up 300,000 people.

Meduza points out that Peskov denied mobilization plans in September 2022 just before Russia announced its 'partial mobilization' days later. Russian authorities continue to deny any such plans this time as well.

The full dispatch is available from the source below.

A denial from a spokesman who has already been caught denying the exact same thing the week before it happened is not reassurance, it's a countdown clock. History doesn't repeat, but apparently Peskov's talking points do.
