Ukraine's Air Force said Russian forces launched 92 strike drones and S8000 Banderol cruise munitions overnight into September 7, along with Shahed and Gerbera drones and radar decoys, from sites in Russia and occupied Crimea. Ukrainian air defense reportedly intercepted 71 of the uncrewed systems, but direct impacts were confirmed at 12 locations with wreckage falling at a 13th.
Strikes hit a shopping center in Zaporizhzhya, sparked vehicle and grass fires and damaged homes in Odesa Oblast, and damaged a residential home in the Izmail district. The Air Force said defense operations remained ongoing as drones continued to loiter in Ukrainian airspace.
