Patrick Clancy Pushes Back On Conspiracy Theories In ‘60 Minutes’ Interview

Patrick Clancy gave his first televised interview since a jury deadlocked earlier this month in the trial of his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy, who was accused of killing their three children. On ‘60 Minutes,’ he pushed back on online theories claiming he was responsible, calling them ‘deeply harmful’ and a distraction from perinatal mental health.

Lindsay Clancy's defense did not dispute that she killed the children but argued she was not criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis; prosecutors argued the killings were deliberate. Clancy's attorney has previously called the online theories about his client ‘outright falsehoods’ and demanded they stop.

Clancy also described a panic attack during his trial testimony and said he has consulted experts on postpartum health since. The next hearing in the case is Sept. 29, with prosecutors yet to say whether they will seek a retrial.
