Telling your neighbor there's no free lunch while quietly running up your own tab at the same diner is a special kind of nerve. Germany gets to sound responsible because its bill hasn't come due yet, not because it skipped the meal. Watch how stern these lectures sound once the defense spending actually shows up on the ledger.
