The White House announced that G20 energy ministers meeting in Houston reached consensus on four voluntary outcomes covering household energy access, permitting efficiency, water reuse, and critical minerals supply chains, under a summit branded the Energy Abundance Ministerial. Officials from Interior, Energy, and the EPA framed the gathering as advancing President Trump's energy agenda.

Alongside the diplomatic outcomes, the release touts a $528 million Hitachi Energy transformer plant in Mississippi, an LNG export expansion in Louisiana, and a memorandum of understanding for Continental Resources to develop an Orinoco Belt oil block with Venezuela's PDVSA, estimated at 30 billion barrels.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin also announced repeal of most Biden-era greenhouse gas rules for power plants, calling it the largest power-sector deregulatory action in American history and claiming it will save $310 billion, with a further $370 million in proposed savings from repealing remaining standards.
