Drone strikes damaged three of Yandex's six known data centers, and industry sources tell the Russian business daily Kommersant that replacing the destroyed equipment could take about six months. Yandex is expected to buy replacement hardware through various channels, including foreign ones, at a moment when global prices for computing power and AI accelerators are already climbing. Users in Russia and abroad have already seen outages in Yandex services including its taxi app, and the company restricted downloads from its cloud storage service to keep other operations running.

Analysts quoted by Kommersant say the extra costs will likely be passed on to customers through higher prices for cloud services.
