Russian forces struck Kyiv Oblast overnight into Aug. 27 with drones and ballistic missiles, damaging warehouse facilities in the Boryspil and Fastiv districts and private homes in Brovary and Vyshhorod, according to regional governor Tymur Tkachenko. A fire broke out at the Boryspil warehouses and emergency crews were deployed to extinguish it.
Separately, ballistic strikes hit Kyiv itself, scattering debris near a residential building in the Podilskyi district and on the grounds of an educational institution in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Additional damage was reported to buildings, vehicles, a school gymnasium, and a medical facility in the Desnianskyi and Obolonskyi districts.
As of the initial report, no casualties had been confirmed. Tkachenko urged residents to remain in shelters and heed air raid sirens.
