Russian strike drones hit an Epicentr hypermarket in Chernihiv on October 9, regional officials reported, with a Geran drone striking the suburban store directly and setting the roof ablaze. State emergency services said 65 responders and 21 pieces of equipment extinguished the fire, and no casualties were reported.
The strike is the latest in a string of attacks on the Epicentr chain, whose co-founder says more than 30 of its facilities have been hit or damaged since the war began. It follows an October 7 strike on a residential building in nearby Pryluky that killed 22 civilians, including five children.
