White House App Hits No. 1 in News and Cracks App Store Top 20 as Americans Tune Out Fake News

The White House says its official mobile app reached No. 1 in the App Store's News category and cracked the platform's overall Top 20 as of late September 2026.

The release credits the surge to Americans supposedly abandoning networks whose White House press credentials were revoked, including CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, after what the administration calls a pattern of false reporting. It also promotes TrumpTV, a video stream of administration remarks and highlights now folded into the app and White House website.

The announcement cites a 4.9-star rating and over two million downloads since the app's March 2026 launch as further proof of unfiltered public demand for the Presidency.

When you lock the other stands out of the fairground, winning the pie contest doesn't say much about your pie. Two million downloads sounds grand until you remember the same office pulled the credentials of everybody it was competing with. A man who runs alone always finishes first, and he'd do well not to brag about the time.
