A Solano County judge combined Alexander Jeffrey Leatham's third jail escape attempt with her existing 2022 attempted murder case, over defense objections that the new charge was too far removed from the prior two escape attempts already consolidated into the file.
Leatham and co-defendant Suri Dao, both linked to the anti-AI group known as the Zizians, are charged in the murder of fellow member Emma Borhanian and the attempted murder of their landlord, Curtis Lind, who was stabbed with a samurai sword and later killed by a different Zizian member before he could testify.
The trial, delayed by Dao's hospitalization and Leatham's change of counsel, now has a readiness conference set for November and a tentative jury trial start of January 2027. Leatham interrupted her own attorney in court to reject a not-guilty plea entered on her behalf, and shouted on her way out that years in custody had caused her to 'forcibly detransition.'
