Alanis Morissette has sued her former tour manager, Keren Urinov, alleging Urinov threatened to implicate her in drug trafficking unless Morissette agreed to employ her for 15 years. According to the complaint, British Border Force flagged a bag containing marijuana and xylazine during travel from the UK to Spain, and Urinov admitted the bag was hers, showing an Israeli medical marijuana license.

Morissette claims that after the tour ended, Urinov and her attorney sent escalating letters threatening a UK lawsuit and threatening to tell British authorities the drugs belonged to Morissette unless she signed Urinov to a long-term tour director contract with raises, bonuses, and an immigration attorney to secure a US work visa.

The complaint also accuses Urinov of a costly hotel booking error and failing to disclose a prior arrest for drug smuggling in a Latin American country, despite reportedly telling Morissette's team nothing in her past would complicate travel or visas. Morissette is suing for civil extortion, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation, seeking punitive damages.
