A Russian strike overnight on September 28 destroyed part of an apartment building in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, injuring 25 people including nine children, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. Ukraine's State Emergency Service said the strike destroyed lower-floor apartments in the nine-story building.

Russian forces also struck Kyiv and Odesa overnight, injuring four people in Kyiv and two in Odesa, according to preliminary figures from the State Emergency Service.
