Russian street artist Slava Ptrk, who left the country after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022 and was later designated a foreign agent by Russian authorities, posted a new work reflecting on his exile. The piece, titled ‘Unwanted There / Unwanted Here,’ consists of two signs styled like bus stops placed on opposite sides of a highway near his hometown of Yekaterinburg.
It follows earlier works by Ptrk reimagining urban fixtures, including a sewer grate near the Kremlin redone as prison bars, and a sign reading ‘I Miss You’ that appeared beneath Yekaterinburg's city marker in June.
