A tour organizer sued Rick Ross in Charlotte, claiming he ditched two sold-out North Carolina concerts on the final leg of his Port of Miami 20th Anniversary tour and performed in Orlando and Miami Beach instead on those same dates.
Omega14 Incorporated says the contract only excused cancellation for severe injury or death, and that Ross's team gave notice just hours before the Greensboro show, after venues were booked, an orchestra hired, and tickets sold. The company claims it's out more than $261,000 and never got reimbursed.
Ross is separately facing public accusations from an ex-girlfriend describing physical abuse, unrelated to this contract dispute but arriving in the same news cycle.

A contract that only bends for death or severe injury is about as ironclad as promises get, and this one apparently bent anyway. If you can perform in Orlando the same night you're too incapacitated for Greensboro, the excuse writes its own rebuttal. The orchestra still had to get paid whether the star showed up or not.
