A Russian strike on Kramatorsk killed 33 people and injured 18 more, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported.
The regional prosecutor's office said the strike likely involved a guided aerial bomb, and that two passenger buses were at the center of the attack.
Kramatorsk sits roughly 15 kilometers from the front line and regularly endures drone and artillery attacks. It is, along with Sloviansk, one of the last major Donbas cities still under Ukrainian control, a status Russian authorities have called a precondition for ending the war.
