Russian drone damages ‘We Are Ukraine’ TV newsroom in Kyiv during live broadcast of Ukraine’s joint United News program

A Russian drone struck the building housing the television channel We Are Ukraine in Kyiv on September 8, hitting the newsroom and staff offices while the channel was airing the round-the-clock United News broadcast. The channel said five people were injured.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia's use of Shahed drones against media facilities marks what he called a new low, and called for a response from Europe and the world. This was the second strike on the channel's building in weeks; an August 20 attack damaged the newsroom without injuries.
