The Atesh partisan movement says Russia's Black Sea Fleet has been placed on heightened alert ahead of October 8, the anniversary of the 2022 Crimean Bridge bombing, citing its own agents inside Russian ranks.
According to the claim, fleet command ordered increased patrols and drills to counter possible Ukrainian strikes on vessels, logistics routes, and shadow-fleet ships. Russian authorities have not confirmed any of this publicly.
The original 2022 bridge attack, carried out by Ukraine's SBU with a truck bomb equivalent to 21 metric tons of TNT, collapsed two road sections and damaged rail lines the morning after Putin's birthday.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
A partisan group citing unnamed agents inside an enemy command structure is the kind of sourcing that would make any editor nervous, but war reporting runs on exactly this sort of thing from both sides. Whether the fleet is actually jumpy or just being described as jumpy by people who want it to seem jumpy is a question nobody here can answer. Either way, a bridge that got blown up once tends to make everybody edgy around its birthday.
