A Russian strike hit a Nova Poshta warehouse complex and nearby production facilities in Svyatopetrivske, Kyiv Oblast, early Aug. 28, according to Bilohorodka community head Anton Ovsienko. About an hour later, two follow-up 'double-tap' strikes targeted the emergency crews fighting the resulting blaze, though rescuers evacuated in time.

Local authorities urged residents to keep windows closed due to heavy smoke and blocked traffic on several nearby streets. The State Emergency Service said Russia targeted Kyiv Oblast 28 times during a 14-hour air raid alert, with crews coming under fire 13 times and being forced to temporarily retreat.
