Lara Trump defended an AI-generated video shared by deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino showing herself, Eric Trump, and the Scavinos spraying Champagne on a luggage cart after a White House state dinner, calling it tongue-in-cheek. Pressed by The Sun's Harry Cole on whether the clip exposed a disconnect from Americans facing rising gas, coffee and ground beef prices, she said critics should go have a little fun because they're a bit stiff.

Cole also pressed her on East Wing demolition, a new ballroom and helipad construction, and allegations that the Trump Organization has made a supreme amount of money during the administration. Lara Trump said the family has paid a very high price and that it has not been a cakewalk for any of them, while saying she is not concerned about scrutiny even if Republicans lose the midterms.

When ground beef costs what it costs, a video of the boss's family hosing down a luggage cart with Champagne is going to land about like a lottery winner complaining about the tax bill. Being told you're too stiff to enjoy it doesn't help. As for that very high price the family has paid, she never did say what it was, and you'd think a bill that steep would be easy to find.
