Nearly 1.5 million Floridians have voted in advance of Tuesday’s primary elections

As of 2 p.m. Friday, more than 1.47 million Floridians had voted early or by mail in the state's primary election, with Republicans slightly outpacing Democrats in ballots cast so far. Nearly 950,000 mail ballots remained outstanding, with Democrats holding roughly 100,000 more unreturned ballots than Republicans.

Turnout stands at about 10.5% of Florida's 13.49 million registered voters, well below the 26% seen in the 2022 primary and far below the 79% turnout in the 2024 presidential cycle. Miami-Dade and Pinellas counties each had more than 100,000 outstanding mail ballots as of Friday morning.
