A Russian loitering munition struck an energy facility in Ukraine's Lubny District on Oct. 2, cutting power to about 6,000 consumers in Poltava Oblast, regional governor Vitaliy Diakivnych said. No casualties were reported in preliminary assessments.

The same day, Ukraine's Energy Ministry reported strikes had also temporarily disrupted electricity in six other oblasts, though it said nationwide rolling blackouts aren't currently expected despite a grid it calls precarious. Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said intelligence services recovered Russian planning documents outlining a coordinated campaign to target heating and power infrastructure in major cities this winter.
