A labor union has sued Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, alleging the company is violating collective bargaining agreements by outsourcing bargaining unit work to non-bargaining unit employees.

The union says Kaiser's plans would eliminate positions in Colorado, with the work instead performed by people outside the state, a move it argues breaches the union's contracts directly.

A contract is supposed to mean something, or so the workers who signed one assumed. If a company can move the work out of state and call it business as usual, the ink on that agreement was worth about as much as the paper it sat on.
