Fedorov now advises Italy’s defense minister

Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Aug. 28 that he has become an adviser to Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto on innovation, discussing drones, autonomous systems, and air defense. Fedorov said Crosetto personally invited him and that he will keep working on Ukrainian defense projects simultaneously.

Fedorov framed Ukraine's wartime experience as a template for a new European defense model, while continuing an international tour with more meetings on digitalization and defense tech planned. The announcement comes as Fedorov also faces scrutiny at home over an unrelated parliamentary commission invitation he reportedly skipped.
