'Reading Rainbow' host Mychal Threets shared a video Saturday saying he had just completed a five-day psychiatric hold, telling fans, 'I haven't been OK for what feels like a very, very long time.' He thanked the doctors, nurses, and mental health workers he credited with saving his life.

Threets, 36, had announced on August 17 that he was checking himself into a hospital, writing 'I am not okay. Maybe I'll never be okay.' In his latest update he told followers recovery will take time but that he has hope, closing with a message thanking them for staying.
