Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, presented Qatar's combined periodic reports to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva this week. She cited Law No. 22 of 2025, which enshrines nondiscrimination, mandates reasonable accommodation, and guarantees accessibility, education, health and employment rights for people with disabilities.

Al Misnad highlighted national strategies through 2030, support for international initiatives on autism and deafblindness, and plans to host the Fourth Global Disability Summit in Doha in 2028. She framed the dialogue as an opportunity for Qatar to receive the Committee's observations and recommendations.
