Kyiv cancels September Kurazh.Jazz festival amid round-the-clock drone alerts

Organizers of Kyiv's Kurazh.Jazz festival, slated for Sept. 19-20 at the VDNH expo center, announced they are suspending the event because of the deteriorating security situation in the capital. Ticket holders will be refunded in full.

The decision follows an escalation in daytime drone strikes on Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast that has pushed air raid alerts across most of the day, days after organizers had announced plans to pause performances during alerts and direct attendees to shelters. Another Kyiv event, the Pokolinnia festival, was postponed rather than canceled, with performances pushed to late September.
