A YouGov survey of 3,310 voters aged 18-29 across eight swing states, including Arizona, finds young voters there favoring Democrats by wide margins: 63% to 22% in the governor's race, 60% to 26% for secretary of state, and 62% to 26% in congressional contests. Only 20% of young Arizona voters view President Trump favorably, with 76% disapproving.
Young men, historically a Republican base, split 58% Democratic to 32% Republican in House races, a reversal from 2024 when 55% of men nationally voted for Trump. Concern over corruption has risen to match concern over the economy among young voters, which a pollster attributed to sustained political messaging.
Despite the lopsided numbers, a third of those surveyed said no one has contacted them about voting, and roughly a quarter said they feel unprepared to cast a ballot. Advocates note that polls measure opinion, not turnout.
