Websites for RBC, Vedomosti, RIA Novosti, Kommersant, Vesti, Interfax and Rossiyskaya Gazeta stopped loading on the afternoon of October 8, according to RBC, before coming back online by the time of its report.

The disruption followed a Ukrainian strike that morning on a Yandex-owned data center in Sasovo, in Russia's Ryazan region, which started a fire and halted the center's operations. Yandex said the attack affected part of its infrastructure.
