Veterans Group Puts Trump On Blast Over 1 Broken Promise

Home of the Brave and VoteVets released a video Tuesday compiling Trump's repeated claims that the Iran war he launched in February would soon end, alongside a new tracking site, AboutTwoWeeks.com, cataloging the promises. Sarah Matthews, a former Trump deputy press secretary now with Home of the Brave, said the president's repeated 'about two weeks' promises are 'falsehoods intended to hide the fact that he has no plan and no cards left to play.'

The groups noted Trump campaigned on ending 'endless wars' before launching military action against Iran without seeking congressional approval. The campaign is timed ahead of the November 2026 midterms, following Trump's Monday admission that the war he'd repeatedly declared won is, in fact, still ongoing.

When a former White House press secretary is the one building the supercut of your broken promises, that tells you something about how the sales pitch is landing inside the building, not just outside it. Two weeks has stretched into seven months, and the calendar site exists because somebody finally got tired of counting on their fingers. Promises are cheap until someone builds a tracker for them.
