Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on allies to release stockpiled interceptor missiles after Russia's overnight strike on Kyiv killed at least two people and injured ten, with fires reported across five districts.

Sybiha noted the strike came just after U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had left the region, and argued that Putin's missiles 'speak louder than his words about diplomacy.' He specifically called out interceptors nearing expiration in allied stockpiles as ones that should be put to use now.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas confirmed on Sept. 1 that some countries hold Patriot interceptors nearing expiration, with Western media naming Greece and Spain as holders of aging PAC-2 stockpiles the EU is urging them to transfer.
